It was built during the first half of the 14th century outside the church, in a truly privileged location, next to the Fillols Gate and in the part of the cathedral that was always more lavish. It was the bishop of Lleida, Arnau Sescomes, who had erected it, although he was buried in Tarragona, so the chapel was used as a family pantheon. Inside there are different ossuaries and significant remains of polychromy. Between 2002 and 2003, stained glass was installed from the artist of Lleida Àngel Jové.
