Esteu aquí: Inici Monumental Complex Seu Vella Paintings

The few pictorial remains preserved in the Seu Vella, both inside and outside, are examples of the beautification work that likely had already begun prior to the consecration of the church in 1278. The fresco technique is used in most cases, although there are some less frequent examples of tempera paintings.
As in the sculpture, the influences of southern France would once again be present alongside others from the art centres located in northern Catalonia. In terms of chronology, they are mainly ascribed to the 15th century, in linear Gothic.
The polychromy, recovered and restored, is located in the interior of the chapels, decorating their walls, but we must not forget that the polychromy also extended to the architectural sculpture.
