The desire to be buried in the cathedral was not unique to its centuries of splendour. In the 16th century, the Pinell family privatised the former baptistery of the cathedral located in this chapel, very near the Fillols Gate. The reform involved the architectural transformation of the space and a change of decor. Although no portions of the Pinell funerary remain, the heraldry of the family is present in the vault’s corbels and keystones.
