Known by this name for being the obligatory access gate for children who had to be baptized, the Fillols Gate virtually repeats the sculpture of the main nave’s gate, which was its model to follow. The same ornamental motifs are fully present again in archivolts, abacuses, capitals and friezes that terminate in an imposing cornice.
The Fillols Gate would also become known as the Seu Gate, as this is the main access in this part of the cathedral. It is considered one of the paradigms of the so-called School of Lleida that would spread its characteristic sculptural repertoire to other parts of Catalonia, Aragon and Valencia.
